I don’t understand all the whining about finally getting a backstory about the emperor. This is the one thing I was looking forward to the most because I find his character so intriguing, yet some of the readers here just whine about it like it’s some sort of crime to give a backstory to the guy they don’t like. Were people expecting the emperor to be nothing but hollow and empty inside? The guy that the only true thing people know about, are based off rumors? Really?
I saw the raws but I’m seriously looking forward to seeing this translated since I don’t read Arabic (the raws were in Arabic). Anyway, I’m glad the emperor is starting to dig deep and see what it might mean to be a parent. Do your thing, emperor! Tell us your story!

They're like this with every single manhwa involving an abused ML. i got into an argument on "I'm A Stepmother" because the ML in that one is treated even worse than the emperor in this one, and people love victim blaming him too.
It took me a minute, but I think I got the gist of it.
Her home country and the blonde king’s country are at war. Her father, a king in her home country, sent her to this guy (the king in their enemy country) as a show of good faith.
They do this kind of thing when they want to either make peace or lower their enemy’s guard by sending someone from the royal family who will ultimately live and die there. So that essentially means that she’s a prisoner, though she is “freer” than prisoners of war in that she gets to move about freely, but under guard.
That explains why the ML treats her the way he is. He’s busy fighting a war where he kills people from her home country, so that already puts him in the state of mind that explains his character trait. Then when anything she does seem to touch him, it probably complicates his intention to treat her as menacingly and coldly as we’d seen him do in that first chapter.
She’s lucky he didn’t kill her just because she’s giving him attitude lol. She should be as scared of him as she is of those who continuously try to kill her for the pain they’ve suffered. But oh well, this is romance and I personally don’t want to see a coward, so that’s that.
I mean... did she really not feel time pass? Did she think only 10 minutes had gone by or something?
Huh... if Tristan actually kills this guy, I get the feeling that it’ll only worsen his situation with Ethan once he finds out. You know, since both his parents died by the hands of hunters... it’s one thing for Tristan to kill vampires that Ethan doesn’t know, but one that he seems to have at least once been close to...? Yeah, that’s tragedy waiting to happen.
Looks like the princes will be coming back in the mix. I don’t particularly care about her ex, but I’m lowkey looking forward to her interacting with the other prince and the shapeshifting guy. They were a fun group when they hung out back at her other place.
I knowww I want to see their love-hate friendship relationships because it's fun hahshshs
Its good to see they becoming like close friend, and the prince not instantly fall in love with mc
People are worried about the crown prince catching feelings, but to me he looks like those types of characters who would never actually act on those feelings because that’s how much he respects the involved party. He might try once, if the couple looks like they’ve broken up, but he wouldn’t go the distance. I could be wrong of course, but I at least hope that I’m right about this.
Also the sister completely forgot what she was angry about in the first place I think it’s adorable how her brother wanted to fight Selena as soon as he saw her holding his sister upside down, lmfao.
The Chef was saved, which is good. Not sure I feel the same way about the real culprit, though. I bet she’ll want to execute her herself once she learns that it was intended for Blanche.
