Did y’all see the way he reacted when he thought she was going to kiss him? The man was terrified.

It’s an interesting contrast because he straight up blushed a few panels earlier when she acted cute. I think being aware of the spoilers truly helps in analyzing his behavior.

That princess is still annoying the F outta me. Seriously, why does she think it’s okay for her to lust after another woman’s man? He had to be “told” to look after her; she damn well knows that he would’ve been by the FL’s side otherwise. I seriously hope that she doesn’t end up being Assad’s consolation prize (since I heard Jay was the ML). Gimme a reverse harem endgame!!!

I mean, he was a child who made a wish. It’s messed up that the wish came through in the way it did, but I’m not sure that I can go ahead and think : oh, a villain over here! You know?

All the possessiveness he exhibited afterwards, which led him to pushing people away from their duo is indeed messed up, though. Our poor ML could’ve had so many friends and lived a fulfilling life not built on the whim and wants of his childhood friend.

However I can see why a kid who had such a terrible wish come through would have such a warped mind growing up. I don’t understand why the wish came through, though. I feel like there’s some kind of reason behind that.

I mean, I guess you can try to make your little scheme happen. Can’t guarantee it’ll work out, though.

I feel like everyone saying they don’t want romance here is in straight up denial .

Don’t get me wrong, I tend to feel the same way as you guys when it comes to these types of stories, but considering that the MC is on a journey of discovering what family and a normal life is like, I’ll just roll with it. Plus I don’t dislike the FL so that helps.

Also her father’s intentions in having him meet her was truly touching. Sucks that such a good man died, though it definitely made for good storytelling.

The translation was quite iffy, so I’m not even sure I got any of this correctly, but:

Blue Eyes’ wife appears to have loved Blue Eyes’ mother who later died. Apparently, both the wife and the husband’s mothers were friends. But then the wife’s mother died and the wife, as a little girl, was abused by her father. But then her mother’s friend (Blue Eyes’ mother) basically took her under her wing and eventually she and Blue Eyes got married mostly as a matter of convenience. Romantic feelings were never involved.

The wife assumes that her son will grow up to hate his father as she’s aware that most of what he does is to ultimately destroy everything his own father built. Now what she told our ML is that her son was approached by a man whom she suspects, had ulterior motives. He apparently left behind the watch that she showed him. ML seems to have recognize who the owner of that watch is.

Meanwhile the doctor also told him that he was most likely stabbed by someone who knew exactly what they were doing, more so since they weren’t even caught on CCTV. So the combination of that and the guy who approached Blue Eyes’ son, means people are plotting to either move the ML out of the way or some other shxt that we’ve yet to find out.

Also, I think that somewhere in there, ML understood that the end game of everything that’s happening is Blue Eyes and his immediate family (wife and son) going through some kind of death (be it literally or figuratively) and he told the wife that he would prevent such an outcome. So I think he’s like their hope in a sea of darkness. That’s just my personal feel from that; I’m not sure I understood that correctly.

Lol I’m super curious about how their love story will progress from this point on. The guy’s been super in denial about his feelings for her for a while now.

I understand that he feels it’s messed up for his feelings to suddenly switch like that between Lynn and our FL, but I truly don’t believe that he’s ever truly been in love with Lyn. It was a childish crush he had as a boy for an older girl who showed him affection, so he’s built her up in his head ever since, but I don’t believe that truly knows and therefore loves her. It’s got nothing to do with how stupidly giddy he’d be about seeing the empress back when their relationship was even worse.

It’s funny though, that it’s the empress lying about having her heartbroken because of him, that made him truly look at her.

I said it to someone else, but For those who don’t get why some of us don’t like “bro” as a translation:

The feel of it changes. We understand the cultural meaning of it when they say “huyng” which gives it the romantic aspect it needs. But when it’s quite literally “bro,” then it’s a whole different ball game. For example, I’m a woman who calls the guys I’m very close with or that I friendzone “bro.”

The romantic consonance to it changes here because it’s like the guy is being turned on by another guy looking at him as an actual brother. That’s why unless that’s the point being made, people who are Native-English speakers or who grew up around the English language, are weirded out by this translation. I really had to remind myself that it was supposed to be cute and to think of it as “hyung” rather than “bro”

I bet you that the red haired knight’s parents were traitors or something.
