The only way for him to heal from buried trauma is for her to show up on his doorstep. I don’t understand the logic of staying away when his trauma is related to him believing he survived at her expense. *sigh*

Hot take, but his best friend the actor is hotter than the ML Alpha and second ML Omega. It’s a pity he isn’t the ML because I barely care about the other two. And the girl he dated (shown in chapter 33) is also hotter than all of them. Made me wish this was a straight story for a second. I’m thinking about dropping this at any point now since nothing about the love interests are stimulating or all that interesting to me. It’s really the MC’s thought process and actions that kept me in for so long…

Aaahh, I was about to ask why he left him in the first place since it was clear it was for just one job, but I guess he answered it in the end… unless he’s planning to go back to being a mercenary, he really should’ve just taken a break. His man comes from a whole gangster family, like… *sigh* well, I’m genuinely not that upset because I’ve highkey been curious about his life as a mercenary ever since he was first introduced, plus I really like Chuck. Sue me. I just wish he could do both so the story would have more interesting layers to it.
