Okay, true, it wouldn’t be cheating. The second point is just an assumption, I can’t base my opinion on that.

Anyway, all I’m saying is she lacked so much presence that I didn’t even realize she was actually his girlfriend until he said he wanted to be with his girlfriend once he got out of jail. Plus given the journey he’s about to embark on, I don’t believe she’d be a good fit for him. Especially if she can be manipulated out of visiting him for years.

Because he needs to serve face while also serving war, he in the main attraction after all

Uhm? Are you good? She was transported to a completely different world but generally on Earth people have monogamous relationships so that's the norm she's used to and wanted that for the relationship with the prince. Honestly he was such a jackass to her, she's literally had everything displaced and your the only person even remotely kind to her, of course that desperation transfers onto you. Suddenly treating her coldly and bringing up other romantic/sexual relationships is going to do awful things to her mental state, hence the betrayal. It's different with the elves because they all consensually agree to it, whereas the prince completely disregarded her opinion. That 'only reason' is super important? It's basically a dude making an exclusive relationship an open one by himself, not caring for his partner versus one that is polyamorous to begin with, where no feelings are hurt.
He only has to be loyal for 5 years before it's acceptable for him to cheat on her? That's majorly messed up.

I understand the struggle with coming from a place where monogamy is it VS polygamy is normal. But I’m taking into consideration the fact that she’s been there for years, and that she knows they made him get engaged not only because she wasn’t a noble, but because she couldn’t give him children. The sense of betrayal she felt makes sense, but at which point am I meant to take his perceptive into consideration? Because at no point was it stated that he cheated on her or became colder with her. He’s a crown prince in the process of becoming a king, so I take that into consideration. Yes, if he meant it when he said he loved her, then he should’ve shown that she was his priority by putting her first no matter what happens because even if he danced with her first, it wouldn’t change the fact that he’d be taking the noble lady as his queen. Or doing that would get the FL killed since that’s how power struggles work in these stories. Now my problem is she’s clearly okay with having multiple partners, but would rather the crown prince didn’t. While their main issue is the fact that they clearly suck at communicating and being understanding of each other’s circumstances, the crown prince isn’t actually a piece of shxt. Her feelings were understandably hurt and he stupidly didn’t handle that well. That’s about it.

I get that he's a crown prince and supposed to be king too but like FML said, at least he should have had the decency to tell her directly. He never helps her when people talk badly about her and tells her that she should be the one to understand and that she's overreacting. If that's not acting coldly, what is? That's not normal behavior towards the person yoy supposedly love. And yes she can't change that the noble lady is going to be queen but he could show at least a shred of empathy for her. That's why he's a piece of shxt.
In these stories, the crown prince usually dances with 'the other woman' and not his fiancee so he could have at least honored that promise he made. It's not like she asked for something impossible. Also, everyone made the assumption she was infertile but no one ever considers that it's the man (the story makes you assume it's her fault).
At this point in the story, she's given up on having a relationship with the crown prince so I don't see the issue with her branching out (plant pun intended). She didn't acrively seek it, she healed the first two girls using her blood and didn't expect a relationship out of it. It's just the way of the elves and she's not jumping into agreeing with it either because she needs to heal from the emotional trauma first.

1. Why are you saying that he should have the decency to tell her directly? I don’t remember the part that states she learned this from someone else while he was hiding this from her…

2. “He never helps her when people talk badly about her” I haven’t actually seen this. The talking bad part or the part where he was around when they said some shxt, and the only time remotely close to that would be during the bal when he was dancing away with the noble lady and she was on the side and even then, people only expressed being surprised at her reaction because they perceived her to be the aloof and careless type…

3. Yes, when he told her she was overreacting, that was definitely wrong because he failed to see things from her perspective. But I’m not going to equate a fight between them to him being a piece of shxt.

4. No, the infertility part has been said to be also about the fact that she’s the type to heal her own wounds instantly. It’s about what she is rather than an actual inability to get pregnant.

5. Her being okay with multiple elf husbands is fine, I just find hypocritical to be okay with that but not the reverse. I understand it’s because she was in love with the crown prince and not with the elves, I just find it ironic and as a result, I’m less inclined to empathize with her on that front.

1. I went back to look at it and it's mentioned in chapter 4. She said she shouldn't have had to hear about his engagement from other people and he apologizes for it, so he acknowledges that he did it and it was wrong.
2. Yes that is the only place I found where they commented around him but they didn't only express surprise at her reaction. They talked down on her for being a commoner and how she clung to the prince and should know her place. While that is technically true in their hierarchy it's definitely cruel to mention around her. Also he met her while she was crying and he's aware of her being overworked by the temple so she's not in a happy environment either. It's not a big leap for him to realize how unhappy she is with her life there.
3. This is just a difference of opinion, I think his overall lack of empathy for her makes him shxtty so agree to disagree.
4. You're right here, when I checked back it mentioned she stopped menstruating so it is a her problem. But if it's that big of a deal for him he could've just broken up with her instead of trying to have both women.
5. She wasn't hypocritical. In chapter 14 (the dance), she says she should understand his political position if only he would keep this one promise of dancing with her first. She wouldn't have been jumping for joy but his inability to stay true to his word for one thing broke her trust in him. So I think it's find that she ends up with multiple husbands.

2. Honestly I feel like while he should’ve been more attentive to her, what he knows and doesn’t know also comes from what she’s willing to communicate. Take her real name for example. We know she wasn’t prone to correct people on how important that was to her from the way she didn’t even say so to her first lover (blue haired). It really took the second lover knowing as much as he does about the kind of being she is, to pry it out of her and try to say her name correctly so everyone else followed suit. I don’t remember, but did she even bother to tell the man she loved what her real name was? And If whenever she met the crown prince she had a bright smile on her face and he took the time to take her away from her obligations so they could escape for a little while together, he wouldn’t just guess that she was unhappy. She’d have to show that and from memory, that only became something she started showing after he was engaged to the noble lady.

4. I don’t think it’s about whether it’s a big deal for him or not. He loves one woman, but as the crown prince, he cant marry her since she’s incapable of giving him a child. This is about the ruling of his kingdom rather than it is about him choosing a woman,. It’s not even his choice, it’s just what’s meant to happen to secure the future of the kingdom. Plus at one point it stops being about him and it becomes about her own decision making. It was as okay for him to ask her to be his concubine just as it was okay for her to just dip without a word to him.

5. Oh, I agree with the dance. He should’ve danced with her. That’s not the point I’m making. What I’m saying is I struggle to empathize with someone who expresses outrage at the prospect of him having multiple concubines while she’s about to have multiple husbands.
