I really need to read the novel. A question I have though, is will Luciano learn about her past lives? Im guessing Carcel will remember parts of it…

No. He does not. Ines also partly takes responsibility for what happened in the previous timeline. She NEVER once had a desire for her family nor Luciano to remember. None at all. She’s not even interested in revenge for her past lives and she doesn’t even try to get revenge against Oscar for what he did to her in her past lives. It’s all pointless. If there are threats in the present life, those are the ones she will fight against.

I know he’s controversial, but nothing about my actual comment depicts my stance on his character. I literally just asked a question.
And I don’t think she decided not to love him. I don’t think you can decide that, in any case. I think part of the role he played in her previous life devastated her because of how much she loved him. And by being happy with Carcel, (and because of some dreams of the past concerning her brother), she’s slowly re-embracing that emotion.

The fact that her love for him was unconditional was all I needed to know that her trying to stop loving him wouldn’t amount to much except actually lessening the negative feelings she had for him. Add to that the dream-memory she had where she accurately remembered a moment from their past lives and saw her brother talking to her that day through a new lense? Yeah, she couldn’t stop loving him. It was probably the first step toward her re-embracing that feeling.

I won’t make your thread longer. I will just say that yes, there was love beneath but loving someone is not just a feeling. That’s why there is such a thing as loving one’s enemy when the feelings does not match. There’s a part of love that means the way we treat another person. So Ines tried not to love or hate her brother. She distanced herself from him and they were quite awkward through many years and she hated the sight of him during 16 - 20.
You will see the difference when Ines actually decides to freely love her brother from the bottom of her heart both in words and action. It’s a very moving moment and it completely changes the way she deals with him and how proactive she is. Right now Ines would not willingly reach out to her brother unless she wants him to do something for her. After the pivotal moment, her actions and thoughts about him becomes more personal to the point that her brother would hug and kiss her and there’s no awkwardness. Or she worries about her brother’s love life. That’s the difference.

Yeah that first chapter didn’t inspire confidence. Can’t stand stories with children growing to be with adults, but this seems worse because isn’t he still a child? And can someone tell me if the beta stays a beta? It would be the one reason for me to try giving it a shot last chapter 1 because I’m not a fan of alpha x omega pairings and I hate it even more when an alpha or beta turns into an omega.

I like the ML. This mysterious air he has going on is very intense, I’m really into it. I expected him to be anything but this, so it was a refreshing discovery. I also love when I can’t predict the route a love story is going to take and I have no clue with this one. Also love the FL’s companion/lady-in-waiting/knight. Hopefully, this story is geared toward her eventually killing the prime minister. Not sure how well her kingdom will fair with a puppet king, but so far so good I guess.
Anyone has recommendations similar to this?
