i took the scene w Jason as him lowkey wanting ian to actually join them. like, we know now that he knew about tjian probably since the beginning, and he intentionally seemed to talk about tj that way, cuz he knew ian wouldn't be able to leave him alone. but I might be wrong.

Ian was actually with them by that point, hence why he said “constantly fighting and cleaning up dirty messes like this probably doesn’t suit you either.” He felt that with Ian around, TJ couldn’t fully reach his gangster potential. Plus he was also the one pushing TJ to date girls and eventually get married.

100%. You can also see by how much he internally wavers despite being the one most strongly affected by the dark magic how much he did love the fl before everything happened. Love Tan as the ml, but definitely tragic for ian
I feel bad for Ian he deserves better
personally I agree that he take the hardest hit among all but we didn't really know he's really like bfr the dark magic, it was always by how people remembering him. I wonder if he's always been feeling insecure and it just highly intensifies. I also wonder if he sort of become like "the new demon lord" since his aura(?) essence(?) sorts of worse than Tan himself.

When you’re a ruler, one of your main roles is being able to delegate; to appoint the right people for specific tasks. In appointing the FL to find her heir, the Queen used correct judgment. I love that she even moved him into her castle a year before coronation in order to complete his education herself. I still wish she had a story of her own I could follow.

So that’s an age gap of 10 years
Now that she’s 16, he should be 26
Out of nowhere, her father and brother talked about how it’s actually 8 years of difference they got, so the emperor would be 24 instead.
It would’ve been a better story if when she got poisoned and he healed her, she suddenly grew back to how old she was supposed to be. The age gap would’ve been more acceptable and their love story, more palatable. Because while we know she’s older than him, no one close to them know this and he just looks like a creep who has a crush on a 12 year old when he was 24.

What do you mean she said it took her years to rank up and they are 8 years apart in general she went in at 13 then became commander then they met when he was 14 and she was 21 then they ranked him up to her second in command by the time she was 24 then she died/reverted to I think it said 7 staying the the orphanage for some time then they met again when she was 12 now she’s 16 and he’s 24

Curious to know why the second prince asked her that question. I thought he might have transmigrated like her, but his question “you don’t feel anything when you see me?” (I’m paraphrasing) threw me off.
My first instincts were that he's either a reincarnator/trasmigrator like her, or he's a regressor. The latter could fit wirh his question at the end, if we're to presume the two were potentially romantically involved in the past (at least based off the prince's behaviour).
It would make sense to me, she was the only princess of marrying age and would likely be matched with someone of a similar social standing = 2nd prince, for example. Maybe something happened that motivated him to go study abroad from a young age.
Who knows! I'm just puttimg a theory out there lol. There's a third potential of him using magic or something that would've expected a specific reaction from her, ie. echanted item (--> explains his infamy as a womanizer despite his lack of skills). Tbh I think my first theory is more interesting, but this is also v plausible. Granted, this manwha isn't great at showing instead of telling, typically doing "showing AND telling", so it's not really great at displaying subtle suspicion in a character's actions/mannerisms/behaviour. So either we have "trust MC's gut" with her line of saying she's unable to read him when she's usually good at reading people, or "MC's imagining it" and he's actually more sweet and has genuine interest in her. Guess we gotta wait and see ╮(￣▽￣)╭
