His toxicity tbh. I agree that happy ending, character development and redemption arcs are also nice but among all these other novels, manga/hua/hwa, dramas that I read and watch it's nice to see something different. Like you may like eating sweets but sometimes you can crave something sour.
Personally I would've been disappointed to see Caesar change for the better. I like that he was a pos from beginning to end haha. Other than his character design also being pleasant on the eyes, I like him overall.
I agree that younger audience may be influenced and all but since you asked for my personal opinion I won't go there. Also I'm 25, so old enough to have self preservation irl.

Haha no, I get it. Sometimes having a deranged character is a change of pace you crave. I don't personally really care for them... i understand what is being discussed here but everything seems a bit extreme for me.
yes, we’re all glad that his mom is just worried about him and how he’ll face the hardships of being queer, she knows her son and that’s loving from her side in a way… as long as she keeps it to herself. it really isn’t that deep. she’s thinking of the worst case scenario instead of being happy for her son, because he found someone that cares for him, loves him and makes him happy, shouldn’t that be enough? everything else can be figured out later, he can come to her when he feels disheartened or hurt and as a loving mother, she will be there for him. that’s all she can do.
i guess we have to see how she goes about this, but i feel like she would start making it difficult for them to be together under the pretense of “protecting him”. just a reminder that is not enough to be loved, you have to be loved BETTER.
