yall imma bout to sound like the biggest guwon glazer (i am) but can you just imagine this chapter from his point of view
- jinwoo teaches guwon what a gift is, guwon wants to give him a gift back
- guwon knows what happened the day they met. jinwoo doesn't, but expresses a desire to remember. guwon's gift is thus helping him remember what happened that day. when jinwoo asks to go back home, guwon lets him (because he's um helping!)
- guwon follows jinwoo back to his house, says, "surprise!!" and then is promptly yelled at LMFAOOO
- in the next breath, the doctor, who only heard jinwoo's accusation that guwon killed his father, points a gun at him and pulls the trigger before guwon has a chance to deescalate the situation.
- guwon kills the doctor in self defense
at the end of the day, i believe guwon when he says he didn't kill jinwoo's dad. but i think his definition of "death" is different than ours. there's more to the story and i have the patience to stick around to find out what it is without pointing fingers or crashing out

Ngl Everything you said is very interesting and truthfully I didn’t trust guwon from the very beginning even when people were simping all over him I felt like there’s something off about him but I wanna focus on two point you mentioned
1) I do agree with what you said about guwon protecting jinwoo it does feel like there’s something we don’t know about just yet maybe his father got bitten by zombies or something idk
2) I agree the doctor isn’t the most reliable character but seeing how fucked up guwon is mentally I would say the doctor is our best bet in gaining info too bad he’s dead now
Ngl these different perspectives are what keeping the story more interesting

the thing is, i don't think guwon is "fucked up mentally" bc i don't think he's human at all, thus doesn't have any moral standards to adhere to like normal humans in a normal society. that's why he fell "in love" with jinwoo in the first place, because he was the first person to ever call him out on what's right or wrong (giving him those moral standards)

order of events:
1. a robber breaks into jinwoo's house and hits him in the head. jinwoo's dad fights the robbers off and leaves to get water.
2. jinwoo's dad gets into an altercation with the hounds (assumption--i think jinwoo's dad stole the water bottle from them and they retaliated) and chases him back to his house, where guwon allegedly kills him. jinwoo mixes up the memories of his dad reappearing with the robbers that had previously attacked him due to his head injury and trauma, leading us into the prologue.
3. jinwoo later states that he wanted to confront his missing memories, regardless of how painful they are, because they're still HIS memories. guwon's "gift" to him was helping jinwoo gradually remember what happened that day, which is why he never directly told him (and probably why he allowed jinwoo to return home and followed him).
the MOST IMPORTANT DETAIL is that guwon does NOT explicitly state that he killed jinwoo's dad. both jinwoo and the doc come to their own conclusions, and you could even argue that guwon acted in self defense. the biggest question is still: should we trust jinwoo's memories?
another detail: guwon also states that jinwoo is the only "person" (emphasis) in the whole world that means anything to him, which implies that the hounds are (theoretically) maggots just like him. since both guwon and jinwoo are riding in the back of the truck, we'll probably meet the hound who's driving them back in the final chapter of the season.
and i've said this before: if guwon really did kill jinwoo's dad, his subconscious killing intent probably stems from the fact that his body recognized guwon as his dad's murderer before his brain could.

so guwon never explicitly admitted to killing jinwoo's dad. when jinwoo said he wanted to confront his missing memories, guwon let him put the pieces together by himself. what i don't understand is how guwon could think letting jinwoo remember guwon killed his dad was a gift something deep inside me (not guwon's cock) is desperate for this to be a huge misunderstanding bc i'm still not sure if we can trust jinwoo's memories just yet
but if it IS true... i think jinwoo's subconscious killing intent came from the fact that his body recognized guwon as his dad's murderer before his brain could. still waiting for the plot twist that jinwoo killed his own dad i said what i said!! free my boy guwon
wow this was such an awesome chapter!! i specifically loved when jinwoo's dad came back to life with milk and doc saw his wife and child again and guwon pulled out his cock and said "here's the real reason why it's called hounds of sisyphus" and jinwoo rode his face into the sunset
I'm patting ur back as we speak
I love this… this truly was our hounds of sisyphus
