despite everything i can't help but want them to have a happy ending that's appropriate to the setting and plot, even if their happiness doesn't look like ours (my personal theory is that jinwoo ends up becoming another one of guwon's hounds and they match each other's freak). but the intentional unrequited love tag makes me think guwon's "love" will never be reciprocated </3 the interesting thing about guwon is that he's violent yet not malicious. for me personally, that's enough of a silver lining to hope for the best... whatever that "best" looks like.
I'm so scared the author might pull the messed-up ending and have Jinwoo become so brainwashed that he is no longer affected by what Guwon does anymore. I just have a feeling Gyeongha is going to die. It's going to be Jinwoo's fault, and this makes me very upset.
Really hoping it goes differently and Jinwoo finds a way to change Guwon instead.
i am too we're already heading straight toward dubcon territory with how jinwoo is willing to do anything to appease guwon, even if that includes sex... i hope we spend more time on the side characters in the second season. i didn't feel much for doc's death since i wasn't that attached to him. if gyeongha does die, i need it to be absolutely heart wrenching
my biggest concern right now is the fact that guwon fell "in love" with jinwoo bc he was the only person with the courage to call him out on his behavior. but now with him pretending to go along with guwon's whims, it's unlikely he'll do that anymore. guwon wants someone who can teach him right from wrong, but jinwoo's now willing to turn a blind eye in order to appease him. horny and scared. can't wait to see how their relationship develops in season two
and kudos to gusao for completing season one without a hiatus. but as expected of our goat
why are we so aggressive to each other right now :( people thought guwon was a green flag bc our first impression of him came from the lz sg where he was kissing a gun with cute stickers on it, had blushies on his cheeks, and was nuzzling jinwoo's stomach. imo it's reasonable why people are disappointed it's looking like he's not and why they're still hoping the first impression was right. everyone's green until they're not and all that. let's stop being condescending with each other
yall imma bout to sound like the biggest guwon glazer (i am) but can you just imagine this chapter from his point of view
- jinwoo teaches guwon what a gift is, guwon wants to give him a gift back
- guwon knows what happened the day they met. jinwoo doesn't, but expresses a desire to remember. guwon's gift is thus helping him remember what happened that day. when jinwoo asks to go back home, guwon lets him (because he's um helping!)
- guwon follows jinwoo back to his house, says, "surprise!!" and then is promptly yelled at LMFAOOO
- in the next breath, the doctor, who only heard jinwoo's accusation that guwon killed his father, points a gun at him and pulls the trigger before guwon has a chance to deescalate the situation.
- guwon kills the doctor in self defense
at the end of the day, i believe guwon when he says he didn't kill jinwoo's dad. but i think his definition of "death" is different than ours. there's more to the story and i have the patience to stick around to find out what it is without pointing fingers or crashing out
Ngl Everything you said is very interesting and truthfully I didn’t trust guwon from the very beginning even when people were simping all over him I felt like there’s something off about him but I wanna focus on two point you mentioned
1) I do agree with what you said about guwon protecting jinwoo it does feel like there’s something we don’t know about just yet maybe his father got bitten by zombies or something idk
2) I agree the doctor isn’t the most reliable character but seeing how fucked up guwon is mentally I would say the doctor is our best bet in gaining info too bad he’s dead now
Ngl these different perspectives are what keeping the story more interesting
the thing is, i don't think guwon is "fucked up mentally" bc i don't think he's human at all, thus doesn't have any moral standards to adhere to like normal humans in a normal society. that's why he fell "in love" with jinwoo in the first place, because he was the first person to ever call him out on what's right or wrong (giving him those moral standards)
