I really hate the male lead, so much so that I can't put it into words. You chose to drag someone else into your messy marriage, knowing damn well what would happen to that person. Look, I get it; you had several attempts to divorce your wife, but then again, I cannot conceive of the fact that somehow you thought the best thing would be to bring a mistress in. It could've been irreconcilable differences, something economic or financial, a decrease in political support from the Duchess' party, or a misalignment in goals. Or if it won't work, you can file a divorce appeal in higher courts, an imperial verdict. But no, let's ruin someone's life just so they can clean up your pathetic mess.
