why is her personality so inconsistent at the beginning? like- she was removed from a very abusive situation where she was at the constant threat of being helpless to some very very creepy man which obviously would make any young girl like her consistently afraid for her life, then suddenly when the boy gives her shit she has the mental strength to fight back at him???? like, yes she’s been removed from that situation, but even inside the castle she is looked at with oppressive eyes and is still on some level powerless. i guess it could’ve come from that one panel long scene of her taking classes on etiquette and whatnot but it never dabbled into her growth to properly show that she’s been mentally reinforced for her to understand she is safe enough to start fighting back. additionally, we don’t know how long that one panel scene of her taking classes was so it could be from a week to 3 months long of classes she would be taking. but as the next scene follows up with the boy bothering her, it seems like it’s near the same time she arrives in the castle. maybe im being too critical but ????

This is just my opinion,
But i think it's very different when you are dealing with those who abused you(already a threat) and those who possess threats to you but havent done anything yet.
I cant say for sure, but she do get better when Amon is there to support her. And being the imperial princess, the emperor (somehow)protects her. So the nobles cant really do anything reckless to her. So she might think it's fine to fight back? Having amon and the emperor(somehow) as back up is reassuring. And all these few years, even the prince and other princess hasnt exactly done any major harm to her excluding the bandit the princess just hired.
Well it might just be loop holes hahaha

This manga gave a me whole new perspective on art. Me being the typical young self-taught digital artist I have basically no idea what the hell im doing and it’s hard for me to stick to art classes. This manga basically gave me a direction and some newfound appreciation for art.
What is and isn’t good is so hard to define, and filtering through the art ruts are also tough as well. This manga teaches me something new with each chapter and I always read this when I’m feeling uninspired

looking at the title again, im seeing it all now.
everyone really does not have a home in this.
for all of them, the dorms is basically a temporary sanctuary for them. it’s not their home at all.
all of their home lives are basically destroyed in a sense. eunyung is homeless, haejoon literally lost the last thing that could make home “home”, Marie’s position in her family couldn’t even be considered home, literally everyone here has no home. home being like a place where they feel safe.
even as much as we try, the natural assumptions we make won’t really go away. however, that doesn’t mean we should always judge by appearance either. in this setting, appearance and professionalism matters most. in such a competitive and strict environment, getting to learn someone’s true self is a rarity in its own.
aenon isn’t wrong for how he thinks, it’s a great mindset to have actually, but in the world he lives in? some would even call such a mindset naive, sorry aenon
Eeyo why somebody dislikeking this smart as human like damn this is some bigg brain shit ヾ(☆▽☆)
