For anyone curious, the ml is Claude, her childhood friend. From what I remember when I read the forum he's some high ranking noble from a different kingdom and needed to take care of some things first before going back to Opal.
Opal and the jerk duke stay married for about 7 years while he works to buy back his properties from her. They were actually doing fine until at some point not sure if it was around the 3rd or 4th year he makes some stupid deal/investment or just a decision that forces mc to work much harder to get them out of debt (he sorta tried to make some stupid excuse to get the blame off himself or something just stupid like that, which makes the mc more disappointed at him).
Around the 7th year of their marriage the duke actually asks for them to remarry but for real this time. But Opal, tired and exhausted couldn't bring herself to love the duke anymore and rejects his offer, then they divorce. He actually could have had a chance but his arrogance and stubbornness pretty much destroyed his chances. The duke was forced to find another fiancée but she didn't wanna let Stella stay in the mansion while she's there so they ended up breaking the engagement. Stella then just moved out of the manor at some point to live somewhere else. The duke found another potential wife but things aren't looking too great so he met with Opal and tried asking for some advice, but she just treated him coldly lol. Oh and Beth, that bitchy maid gets pregnant by the same guy who tried to assault mc on the first ch so she had to quit but Opal did help her somehow I forgot what exactly she did.
There was also some part where Opal gets kidnpped while on the way to go to Claude, but I'm not really sure about it since I didn't see much about that part. So yeah, that's pretty much what I remember from the plot lol.

I get that people don't exactly like that she keeps on saying that she'll save her fam when she doesn't even have a proper plan. But that's probably all she can do. I love me a badass, smart and politically capable mc but it gets tiring and repetitive if it's the same in every story.
For example, I love Lady Baby, but this mc isn't Lippe. No matter how similar their situations were before they came back, people will have different ways in tackling through a problem. One may either decide to gather influence and gain power by themselves or just simply cling to someone with influence and power along with other methods. Since most of our usually beloved capable mc's will go with the former method, this is like a chance to look at the perspective of someome who makes the latter choice. An oblivious girl who died not knowing anything, and is now becoming unsure of the one thing she was so sure of. As she slowly starts to uncover the truth about the tragedy of her past life and the one behind it.
well i for me, i see her here is more like trying to understand the situation first bc she really had no idea what exactly happened in her past life and her main plan rn is to get close to the cause of her fam's death (in her eyes), lupert. and we also need to understand that mc is someone that don't know anything bc she doesn't socialize in her past life , and she genuinely thought that her fam was killed for no reason. I think her trying to do this is more interesting and realistic than her knowing everything. idk lol
Yeah, idk why but I just feel like some people here are asking too much of her. Like they wanna make this Lady Baby 2.0 or something lol
