I appreciate Kyle so much for respecting Illyan's "No"(๑•ㅂ•)و✧ Many men irl and most semes in yaois are either forceful or dismissive of the uke's wishes.
But Kyle never forces Illyan into doing anything against his will. Here, he let Illyan express himself, and his desire to be with kyle, at his own pace and on his own terms.
He heard out Illyan's insecurities, and soothed his concerns, promising the best of him if only Illyan would have him. Nothing manipulative, or cunning. He doesnt have to adopt cheap tricks ; he lets Illyan come to him instead, hoping the warmth he offers will be enough to melt the cautious man's heart.
And it is:)
This couple's dynamic is seriously goals, they're sexy and adorable and share quite the healthy dynamic. Even Illyan, under Kyle's influence, is gradually getting over his many reservations, becoming better at communicating, it's all so heartening to see

the cock-warming scene yummmლ(´ڡ`ლ) This author be hitting all the right kinks hehe(≧∀≦)

How do i say this...the premise is very promising, the trope is exciting, and the character settings and designs are awesome.
But it feels like there's not been any real romantic - or even platonic - development between the two leads.
I get that realistically speaking, daiki's busy and has to be out almost the entire day; but I deadass dont see him interacting at all with MC(SHOOT I CANT RECALL PINK HAIRED KUN'S NAME ;-;) in the few moments he is at home.
And it's not for lack of a potential for a relationship between the two, or compatibility.
It just feels like the author's not focusing on it at allThe characters feel relatively flat and its not their fault - its the author not giving them enough voice, imo.
The initial chapter shows two characters who present an absolutely attractive dynamic. MC just had his heart broken and before he can even mope properly, he gets caught up in a baby-sitting scheme with the mafia in a foreign country. Bizarre and thrilling. Brimming with the possibility of a slowburn, spicy moments, family feels, uwus and more.
But somewhere along the way, Kenta starts appearing more than Daiki does, MC conveniently forgets about his past heartbreak, and easily adapts to the situation. A female love interest for Daiki appears even before Daiki and MC's relationship has developed to a stage where she can be considered a rival or even a justified jealousy-inducing plot point.
Mc honestly looks like he's purely lusting for Daiki, no romance involved, which is just as fine because honestly, who wouldnt?
But where do his expectations of Daiki being single, and subsequent jealousy even originate from? Frankly, there's a non existent closeness in their relationship, and they've not even had any mutual heart thumping moments either. Past the first few chapters, I can't sense even a shred of interest from Daiki, meanwhile MC is developing feelings(??) Out of nowhere and subconsciously wishes that Daiki would just be his and Toma's?
Had the author put more substance in their limited interactions, these same moments would feel so much more exciting and engaging. Even the smutty bits felt strangely one-sided, maybe because Daiki seemed so unaffected by it all, in juxtaposition to MC whose both mind and dick take off at even the image of Daiki.
Maybe the author always intended for this, maybe my expectations are misplaced and harsh. Maybe I'm projecting my preferences on a story meant to deliver in other aspects. But i love the crux of this story all the same. And i love the characters that Daiki and MC are, and could become.
Its just a personal wish, but i do hope that Mc and Daiki get actual real moments, developments, conversations and more rather than cliched scenes that look good pnly on paper.
Tldr: Yes, do read this story, it's great! But it has a lot of potential yet to be harnessed.
I HATE IT HERE PLEASE BRING CLAUDE BACK IM CRYING
