The only likeable characters are the blonde knight/Empress and she wasn't in it for real. Can't stand anybody else and they all look weird from the front.

The beginning of the story implied that both of her parents died. Then later it said just the dad kicked the bucket and the mom ran off with a man.
This is not queer baiting and y assume this is Yaoi when there's no tag saying it. Anyway it's really good and if you don't like straight romance don't read it. Also I read a similar story were da Fl was a succubus and the Ml wore glasses, can't remember the name tho.
