I really like the contrast in the last few panels where her cloths are worn and frayed, while his look very expensive and shiny.

It's a happy ending. A lot of bad things or unfortunate events happened, but you can't deny the fact that their love is truly beautiful. It's like love cause them pain but it allows them to see the good out of the bad and the same time it teaches them the value of things in life.
