Don’t get me wrong the main lead is great, but I hope he gets more of a personality asides from being in love with the female lead. Maybe we’ll get to see his past at some point
when i first read this i thought the same, so i went and read the novel, turns out, ML's feelings toward MC isn't like those typical ML we read "she's different from other girls" "she's interesting". in here, imagine meeting up someone who technically saved you're army who's suffering from starvation due to neglect from royal family while forcing them into a hopeless war. then this person even used a different name to hide her personal info, since normally nobles advertise their contributions. so yea, i understand ML.
Bro the past of the main couple (fox and drug dealer) came outta nowhere for me bc ill never forget that the seme in the first chapters was going around banging others guys, even in front of the uke. Now im supposed to believe the seme was in love with uke since they were teenagers? That’s so weird, especially bc seme didn’t show any particular romantic feelings on their first time, I’d say it was very non romantic actually. He didn’t lol anything like a guy who’d been pining for someone for so many years finally getting to be with him. Idk I don’t know if the author came up with this past of the main couple later on.
The emotional side of it makes no sense to me, like, the author is painting drug dealer now as someone who has been pinning for MC for aaages but that didn’t come across at all with the crappy way he treated MC in the beginning and that seme was having sex with others with no care at all even in front of MC. And the fact that their first time was SO unromantic and we’re supposed to believe seme was madly in love with uke since they were teens ? I just don’t think this development is organic
I get what you mean, although we only see one side, the ukes side, we still have not seen their past and seme pow. The little that we did see is that he seems like he likes him but we don't get why, why he acted like he did at first, I think when they show the past we will get the clearer picture of seme.

Great story. Some aspects of the monster thing reminded me of The summer Hikaru Died
