He’s hunky and hot but righteous, lawful characters are the most annoying when theyre protecting something unnoticeably corrupt for the sake of greater good
“Unnoticeably corrupt” by the vast majority of the public. It’s even worse when they’re knowingly protecting something horrendously corrupt and supporting it by doing various things like what we read in the recent chapter.
Word, dislike that plot oriented device. Esp when they have an opportunity to do somth like root out the corruption.
I just finished the chapter 19 and exactly came to find the comments i was looking for. I was so hyped and giddy when i saw multiple updates but like… what are those “baby”, “buddy”, and “dude” for? It’s quite immersion breaking omg.. my excitement immediately turned into confusion.
Oh naurrrr were they too elegant for a children arc? Naurrrr… this was such a cliche, tale as old as time story but its so grand and amazing. Also, that last part was soooo romantically elegant, Khalid might be unflinchingly handsome but Ilya’s beauty and smile is just so ethereally serene. Sigh.. my babies are gone and left with their happy ever after.
