even though cheating is horrible, japanese culture tends to not have cheating as something that is extremely horrible. it’s common for husbands to cheat on their wives and wives to either turn a blind eye or just accept it. it’s hard for me to explain but cheating isn’t on the same level of horrible ness as it is in western society
