A lot of girls will like him. But Art isn't dense. He'll intentionally friendzone them and doesn't lead them on. When he interacts with them, he's chill and treats them normally. Girls mostly get it early on and give up. The only ones in the end that like him are Tess and the Human Princess. Even then, the human princess knows she doesn't stand a chance coz the only one Art likes is Tess. So they just end up low key liking him. So it is technically a harem since multiple people like him, but it's not annoying coz it's pretty clear who he likes and he doesn't lead them on. Even with Samantha in this dungeon, in the book he noticed that she's interested in him the moment they meet and he just ignores her. In the end, she's just happy she was saved.
And in a way this makes sense because Art is supposed to be handsome, charismatic AND powerful. So really, it's no wonder people are attracted to him. But the way it's handled is not annoying. Except for Tess. Tess herself can be annoying. ┑( ̄Д ̄)┍ ya'll shall see. She gets mad at Art for no reason and is very childish. I like the human princess' personality more.

There are times the novel is slow especially when it switches to different POVs. This translates better in the webtoon and so do the action scenes.
But if you're interested in the world building, plot and character development and magic system, I think the novel fleshes that out more. The webtoon follows the novel pretty well, there are a few details that are different but not overly significant.
One example is when Art broke the court conjurer's knee. In the novel, Art stayed awake after doing "acquire" and the guy even pointed at him and said he's the one who did it. It was a bit more satisfying than the webtoon since Art had that small moment of glory and gloating. In the webtoon he immediately fainted so i was a little disappointed (/TДT)/
So it really depends. The webtoon is done really well so i would say the novel and webtoon are about the same

Sorry, also gotta say this
In the novel, they keep their formation in this dungeon where the augmenters are outside and the conjurers and the emitter inside. They don't just stroll in like the webtoon. They are ALWAYS in formation. They assign roles and the conjurers protect the augmenters by holding up barriers and provide long range attacks while the augmenters fight and protect conjurers from direct mana beast attacks. This detail is omitted in the webtoon but it's important to note because it will make you hate Lucas and Samantha more.. They didn't immediately put a barrier when the room with the worm released heat. They really almost died if Art didn't shake Lucas and told him to get it together and put a barrier up. He got cocky and wasn't being attentive. So was Samantha. She didn't really pay attention either. This adds a layer to their characters and tells you how conjurers and augmenters are treated differently with conjurers seemingly more important. Hopefully the webtoon touches on the social hierarchy of magic users. It really is interesting.
Ugh.... My heart..... Ugh..... The bromance..... It's too adorbs I can't take it.......
I feel you (▰˘◡˘▰)
