on the other hand i can see why the ppl adapting the novel wouldn’t want to drag that out for too long. maybe it’s just me but the physical and emotional violence would be a complete tonal shift from the rest of the story. yeah there’s been a lot of emotional torment and some offscreen violence but having to bring that to the forefront for this arc wouldve maybe made the story a biiiit too dark. i do think they couldve found a nice middle ground but well. what can ya do.
