If you feel down, do you share with your irl friends?
When my friends feel down or maybe want to rant Abt their day, they share it with me. It's not affecting my mental health and I'm glad that they could share their problems with me (at least that's how it is for me lol). I find it hard to comfort them but our talks typically spiral to different topics until they feel a bit better.
