If they caught them they would use all of their parts for meals, not just their fins. Honestly even if they are hunting them they aren't letting them to die a slow death like you think they do.
I promise you look it up that is exactly what fisherman do. Fishing for sharks is illegal in many countries for that exact reason.
yes thats actually true... because other than its fins, shark doesnt have much value. the meat is too bulky too transport and isnt very tasty, so its not cost effective. thats why, although not always, shark finning (as opposed to fishing) is still the most common way to harvest shark fins.
Don’t worry ! Most shark fin soup these days is made from imitation shark fin because it’s cheaper and accessible ! Imitation shark fin is made from either gelatin, noodles, etc. The term “shark fin soup” is still used bc it represents and honors a part of Hong Kong/Chinese culture and history. Although I can’t say if high end, expensive restaurants would serve imitation shark fin

I do agree he seemed pretty suspicious at first but I'm kind of over that feeling now. While I personally don't plan on hooking up with someons to get over someone else that is a pretty common thing consenting adults do. I just don't think Yuwon has ever pressured MC into doing anything he was unwilling to do and Yuwon has always stopped when he was told to.
