well, that's probably what they want you to think,
they did all this and then they'll do some sort of cliffhanger of either the dad telling what he knew about her or the mum contacting souma in any way
and then he'll meet her or whatever and we'll be like, WE KNEW SHE WAS SOMEWHERE IN THIS WORLD STILL ALIVE
