He's finally starting to grow a back bone bit by bit. Much of his timidness is due to him growing up thinking Taesung hated him and that he was a burden.
Little by little he his starting to stand up for himself. This is called character development - which the author is doing a good job of writing.

Just regarding the pacing and the unfolding of the back stories. We're jumping from scene to scene really quickly like the author wants to get all of this out of the way.
I like the art. The uke is cute but frustrates the shit out of me. I really like the seme
I actually gotta really appreciate just how deep that anxiety seems to push the introverted uke from social interactions. The seme's the sort of blunt and efficient type which is an interesting pairing since neither of them specifically seem to bask in social norms and both keep a steady job that fits their personality requirements. I'm just. Kind of excited for how they'll both break out of their shells or how they'll change due to each other's influence.
I understand that the uke has a deep sense of anxiety and him running away.
But him crying living eye water over a stranger supposedly hating him just irked me.
