.....why the duck did were the reviews saying it was gonna be fluffy.....you guys tricked me!!!
This is obviously a replacement story.
First of all, the age gap. Not only is it enourmous- (18 and 30) but the relationship too. He sees him as a kind of second uncle. The dude thought he was a highschool studen, for pete's sake!
And then it's obvious that the one he can't forget is mc's uncle. That's why he made the comment about him being more and more similar each year
So I'm sorry, but "replacement" stories where "you're replacing a family member" for a guy "who's like an Uncle to you" to top it all off?? Get me the hell away. All the cute baby's in the world ain't worth that drama
I don't think the age gap is that big? Maybe it's a culture thing, but it's not that uncommon for where I'm from, BUT! For me it's more of a problem that he's only 18 - for me it's a legal age but he's still a kid, he just ended hs and has not that much of experience in any aspect of life. Then again, some people are much more mature at 18 than others at 30, so that's only a matter of perspective and is different for everyone I guess?
But yeah, that's definitely not the case here, that guy's playing him like a fiddle and I don't like this kind of thing.
So yeah, I pretty much agree with you on everything except the first sentense lol
Hate this type of shit too, and no matter how many times I've read something similar I would've always ended up thinking how these people can be convinced they're not a replacement anymore? (I mean, you know the drill- he's gonna find out that uncle's crush and so on)
Not fluffy at all lol
Yeah that's what I meant
I don't mind if it's a 30 yo and a 50 yo, but that's cause they're both mature individuals. If I remember correctly, we finally mature and stabilize once we're around 24.
Even though he's legally an adult, he is-as we've seen- very much a child at heart.
Taking advantage of that is awful. Hopefully the reason they did it was cause the dude was drunk or something and confused him for the other, but even so, I can't understand how they'd go on with the relationship.

Duck you, chad
