So I was reading the raws(well, just looking at the pictures) and I hope I wrong, but the concubine might? Not be as innocent as we think?
In chapter 30 she had both a very disturbing smile and cunning eyes afterwards.
At the time I brushed it aside, but in the chapter before, she looked a bit worried when the emperor blushed at the empresses antics. I thought it was the typical worry from a friend, but maybe, and I hate it so much because I found this story so refreshing, but maybe she does want the emperor's affection? And is going the white lotus route?
Idk...I just hope I'm reading in way too deep.
But I've read so many works like this that now I just jump to conclusions every time I see a pretty "innocent" character

This story seems a bit like....bull crap, honestly.
Also out mc. What??? So she suddenly replaces the female lead of the novel and wants to steal the affection of the second male lead as if it were rightfully hers???
Does she not realise that would mean he never loves her for her?!?! Not to mention, even though I might not have the best of morals, in that situation, I'd feel pretty fucking bad???
Plus, she's seeing him as a character in a book instead of an actual person. Yes, it's true that hes both, but still- this is exactly why you're supposed to think things through first.
AGHHH IM ANGRY AND I DONT KNOW WHY THIS STORY JUST RIBS WRONGGG

So my theory is that he dressed up as a female because if he were seen as male, he would have been seen as a threat, because he too would also be viable to inherit the dukedom. Everyone would be more on guard and very possibly kill him.
As to the male leads...I feel like Chloe just strung them along to strengthen her social and political standing, therefore securing her life and future.
As to the reason why the story ended so abruptly...perhaps because the author didn't know how to balance the romance without anything truly happening as Chloe held no real interest? And in the off hance he did, so others didn't discover her identity as male.
OR what if the male leads did know...but we're also using her as a means to an end?
Who knows? I'm just really excited.

Omg I love thisssss
Not only is the art absolutely AMAZING, the story plot line is just- *chef's kiss*
I love the fact she's routing for the female lead instead of what they usually do in these types of novels: feel sorry for the second male lead since he was handsome and cool too.(not hate (well, maybe a lil spite) I'm just a bit tired of that and sometimes I feel like some female LEADS that transmigrated for the villain have an ulterior motive...idk)
so I read the novel and....Oswald really is the hidden character, and Rona is actually Gray's younger sister.
You know, the one that played prime games?
Anywho, she still a bitch.
I know he loves his little sis but DAMN did I want to slap her face off :)
