He felt really guilty and ig didn’t want to touch people with his bare hands out of fear of accidentally melting them again. He secretly feels attracted to the uke(sorry can’t remember Korean names) but doesn’t want to lose control again and hurt him I think

No I think it's just bad writing tbh. These last chapters have been a bit infuriating. This story got popular because people found her character refreshing. She followed her own rules and her own morals and gave as good as she got.
She used to never let anything pass. If they bullied her, or consort Lyn, she would shout and make a scene and make them regret it. We've seen this!!!
So it makes no sense why she would be acting like this other than the fact that the author wants to half ass a reason to make Lyn go bad. It's maddening.
I'm not saying she should have had the consorts flogged or anything, but she could have done SOMETHING. Ask to join in the game and throw the water into the other consorts faces! Ask to watch them play and accidentally splash each other, idk, but anything!!

I kinda see it as selfcest, a girl from real world reincarnated into a body of a harem mc, and their personalities were splitted in a way and they were in the same body, the og mc fell in love with the girl reincarnated into her body and ruined her plans for a harem and kept her for herself in her mind. Or so I see it
I don’t think it’s really love. It was explained in a purposely ambiguous way, but the bottomline is that the og mc just wants her body back so she wants the reincarnated soul to be trapped in her mind forever.

Like, this is a Korean story, but it's set in ancient china. Idk I just feel like when japanese stories make it set in ancient china they use Chinese names(like apothecary diaries) but with Korean stories they always use Korean ones(this and the mount hua sect one).
This is only from my own experience and what I've read though.
