ppl been saying this in the comments but like…is it not weird that he doesn’t recognize her off the rip? ik that he found ‘charred remains’, but how does he know that the ashes came from his daughter’s body? a necklace is good for evidence, but is it as substantial as a DNA test? plus, if he knows sooooo much about this one-year-old child he hasn’t seen in like a decade, how could he not feel a little more persuaded that she’s his daughter? the girl looks JUST like him.

He almost believes her as his real daughter tho. But he keep denying that because of her eye color is different. He said, unless that she went through an experiment, ain't no way his real daughter will grow with different eye color. He probably already investigated Anisha, and she live in the orphanage all this time, so it's impossible for her getting caught in experiment since other kids seems fine. I guess, due to after effect of her traveled back in time, she keep some of her traits that she got after being experimented, like her eye color and the strange scribbles in her hands.

yeah that’s the cliché so we’re saying she’s the real daughter. the author was throwing a hint by making the duke say that the only way her eye color could be different is if she went thru some shit. they’ll reveal it at some point, but these types of stories take a little while to unveil the truth. it’s usually a lot of growing used to the substitute daughter and kind of dancing around the idea she might be the real one before someone drops the truth bomb.

idk if i’ll ever like Cesare. this brother/sister thing is way too weird. if you’re siblings, just leave it at that. like, there’s no critical point where there’s a shift in mindset either. it’s always an assumption of her intentions that makes him treat her inappropriately that feels rapey, especially in ch 20.

i’m not talking just abt his thinking (though you are right) i’m talking about the story execution. i feel like there was a way to make this seem less like attempted SA but the power dynamics and the lack of a critical turning point in their relationship makes this appear very abusive. i agree w you and ik you’re agreeing that the ML is scum, but i felt like i should differentiate between what i was trying to say and what you’re saying is the logic behind his actions.
just…..wtf. this is just wtf vibes all over the place…
