Idk abt that first part but yea the cheating bitch and the old emperor casted black magic on their kid. If you don't remember, Athy (our mc) was recalling the story where Claude died shortly after or before his ex's(the cheating bitch) daughter Jennette got married to the duke's son. And now whenever he's around Jennette or tries to think about his love for his REAL daughter he gets those headaches and gets sick. Probably bc he's going off script from what the black magic is supposed to do. Basically the original story only happened bc of the black magic and bc of the fact that Athy wasn't loved. But now bc everything is going off the rails, he's dying faster than he originally was supposed to.
