Did you guys already forget that the whole reason for him leaving IS TO BE WITH HER? I think Emel could've done it in a better way, but regardless he's going through this for her. One, he really has no confidence in himself. There's multiple times throughout the story where he was trying to hide or act differently around her because he didn't think she would like the real him. He thinks his love is ugly and twisted. And two, the daughter of a duke can't just easily get married or have a relationship with a knight. He's trying to claim his father's title so he can be with Estelle. I won't say I completely like Emel because I'm pretty neutral about him but honestly, y'all need to chill out.
