Same, I'm dropping after Ch 17. The beginning of 18 starts with "Ten years ago". The story is so convoluted when I just came for the gender bending smut. I gave up and started skimming around Ch 14 bc the story doesn't interest me (mystery, suspense). And I honestly don't like any of the characters. So Now I'm really just giving up.
