Yesss, since when the father first show up I didn't feel any aura of hate or anything towards her, so I thought he must be difficult in showing emotions. And it's really cute whenever her father's doing something behind her back KSKSKDKDKS
What i got from the like the first hint is that the father was hiding his emotions from her and that he is doing it for a reason. And im thinking it has something to do with her mother and the emperor so. since he refers to her as a leash. So basically the emperor is threatening him using his daughter's sickness-? or issues and probably has the only way to heal her. Or the emperor took a piece of his daughter and it's in that ring of his. That's what i think thus far. But the father is in fact trying to show that he cares without revealing it too much and in reality is causing a big misunderstanding on the daughter's part. Though she has a form of idea of what's taking place. I think tho when it shows the backstory, when the father handed her the knife is to protect herself and she thought that it meant to kill herself.
