U know if we will understand shaia's situation, I can't say he became an 'evil brat' and I admit I was a lil disappointed on his actions before. But after knowing that the reason old fart chose beryl for him is bcs he want shaia to take the poly route and is taking advantage of beryl's attachment to his dead mate, I am just so mad and feels sad for shaia. He's being a troll to beryl because he's hurt and maybe lonely.
He wants to keep the peace in his family, he gave up his love for theo(?), he wants his theo and brother to have an uninterrupted love. He must be very sad knowing everyone around him has love they chose for themselves. His parents, grandparents, uncle and his brother. And now he has to follow this old fart's decision in order to properly inherit and manage their family business. It feels very unfair for him ╥﹏╥
I can't explain more of the details but I read a comment below rationalizing shaia's actions. Go read that and maybe, we also have the same opinion.
I agree with you. I see where he is coming from but just because I understand, doesn't mean I'm not disapointed. Especially considering some off the things he said to Beryl would apply to his own mom. I hope he doesn't know about that but I'm sure Daato didn't raise him to think that way, much less say it.
Well yeah.. I can't deny that coz I was disappointed too and we all know how daato would raise their kids. Hopefully we get to see him realize all of that and we get to know what's daato and juda's take on their child's actions. Also, I actually agree with you about theo! For now, we can't say Theo's in-love with hugo and he's still on a caretaker mode if we take in his comments about Shaia's independency and Hugo's clinginess to him lol. Maybe we'll get to know more about Theo's feelings on another part (maybe well idk I'm just overthinking) since this manga is kinda focused on Shaia's and Beryl's story.

I got reminded w a comment here that the prince's engaged and it completely slipped my mind coz of the villainess and protagonist's flirting lol. But aside from that, I liked that he's TRYING to be a good guy lol hopefully we get to see more from him. (I'm not expecting a lot from the duke now, he's emitting typical red flag ML)
I just love love LOVEEE nomiya and his household. His upbringing is admirable that it makes me want to be part of them (adopt me lol) And we all knowww that leo's determination will go down the drain as those two are inseparable
