I loved this. My main thing with abo stories were that they were always super similar. (Like, I’m the type that likes unexpected type of pairing(short seme or tall uke or something like that) but omegaverse stuff always look similar. Like the alpha is handsome perfect dude and omega is this super feminine looking dude(which is Eh. I like it when the uke actually looks like a guy, cause I came to read bl lol).)
So, I’ve always thought about where to find stories where it involves a beta or something(I also like reading reverse abo stories where the omega is the top and stuff, though they’re rare) anyway, I loved this one so much! Especially the fact that there was no usual melodramatic bullshit about the whole identity thing. I love the “he knew all along” type of thing and it shows how observant they really were! ^^

I could only read 10 chapters before I wanted to off myself and drop this. The mc and ml are annoying as fck lol. Like, they’re also both horrible people. Mc is like low key leading someone on. Being vague and flaky isn’t cute. Ml is like, low-key high key cheating. Like, at lest break up with your girlfriend before you do anything. The ex-boyfriend was okay and just sketchy at first, but at least he was kind. But, then he almost raped the mc and I have no sympathy for him after that. Like, how can you just forgive someone that tried to do that? Anyway, I remember why I don’t read josei often now lol. They have all the old cliche and annoying shoujo tropes(doormat protag who can’t make decisions, shtty ml, consent is not a thing, etc)

Some people may pity trashta, which I kind of did at the beginning, but I don’t have a drop of pity for her currently lol XD sure, bad influences and all that, but you also got to be a judge for yourself about how you want to take the bad influences around you.
I get where you’re coming from but in my opinion I feel like she was naive and was easily taken advantage of cuz she was a slave and everyone kept telling her if she didn’t do something she was going to be left behind and that’s what she didn’t want since she said that the emperor loved her despite being a slave which her first love didn’t want to be with her cuz of his status. Also the emperor was at fault he was good to her in the beginning but then ignored her which made her anxious and didn’t try to stop her and reassure her that he still loved her cuz he was basically using her just for the baby. But this is just my understanding of her I don’t mean to argue lol
But her bad choices led to bad consequences so yea she did deserved to be punished
Yeah. Like, there are some things to pity, and the emperor is way worse than her, but that doesn’t mean she should be let off. She deserves whatever is coming to her, and the empress didn’t have to become her friend, that was her own selfish desire. So ye, I don’t have pity for her currently, and I hope she suffers like the emperor lol.
