My sister showed me this manhwa when she was reading it so I decided to read it too. By the time me and my sister finished reading it... it kind of got irritating but we just read through to the end anyway lol XD but our main problem with the ending is this one part in the story. When Vassar gets added into the story... So like, both me and my sis got second hand embarrassment because it would seem like a self insert for the readers of the story in the real world since her pen name is vassar XD and we were kind of just cringing Lolol.
However, I’m trying not to think about it by thinking, hopefully, the chapter she didn’t write DIDNT actually include the name vassar in the text, an it’s just like a “theres only one girl for him” without revealing the girl. And the part about how he talked about the new story of vassar the witch was just figuratively, and not an actual story that’s happening in the real world cause the secondhand embarrassment of a self insert story would be too much for me XD
So like, I get he lost his memories and all... but... people don’t really forget general knowledge of things. If he lost his memories, it’s should’ve only been like his memories memories, not things that he would learn. Hhhggg its hard to explain, but I’m pretty sure that’s not how memory works(and I’m saying this because this is like a more realistic setting?)
anyway, with things like short term memory and amnesia, you have 2 different types of memories. First is episodic memories and the next is semantic memories. Semantic memories are general facts and things you don’t forget easily and they’re usually things you learn in school or something, like the multiplication table and stuff like that. Episodic memories houses our personal memories and stuff like that. It’s episodic cause they’re easier to be forgotten and that’s also why sometimes we forget things that happened a month prior if nothing big has happened or our childhood when we grow up. From what I think I know, when you lose your memories or have short term memory loss, you forget your episodic memories and not your semantic memories, so his intelligence and knowledge of things like school and stuff should not have been forgotten.

He had a trauma induced brain injury which resulted in amnesia AND loss of intelligence. It's 100% a real possibility & I have seen the effects of it myself in real life. Memory is not the only thing affected by brain injuries. The way your brain functions as a whole and processes information can also be affected.

I agree that they were much more focused on the amnesia part of it & that could make it confusing. My parents were in a really bad motorcycle accident 4 years ago. My mum came out pretty much unscathed but my dad almost lost his life and suffered a really bad brain injury from it. He doesn't have amnesia but now suffers from severe memory loss and the way he processes information now is completely different from before. He's not an idiot or anything but had a significant drop in his intelligence levels. It's an extremely painful thing to watch, especially when there's nothing you can do to help.

Legit tho, he reminds me of my friend’s dad who always victimizes himself and makes his family feel like sht, and then blames it all on the fact that his parents died when he was young and nobody took him in. He also blames that for the fact that he took drugs and dropped out of school, when, they have no correlation to each other. Their sad childhood didn’t force them to start taking drugs or dropping out of highschool, nor did it force them to be a jackass to his family. It annoys me so much, cause they’re just using their childhood as a shtty excuse to be a bad person, and running away from actually facing their trauma and childhood. You can’t just continue living being tormented by your past, or you’ll just affect the people around you more. You either learn to move on from it and overcome your hardships, or continue to dwell on it until you are in a hole you can’t crawl out of anymore. That’s the difference between maturing as an adult and just aging into an adult.
