It's a bit tricky. There is definitely continued misunderstandings but it's more enjoyable like suspense than just stressful angst, if that make sense. They start growing closer, so you won't be needing to wait long for some relationship progress, but they are on different pages. It's a definite Rollercoaster before they are fully honest, (and not just emotionally, the plot is really intense) so don't hold your breath ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ﾉ~ it's a really good story though, love them, I'd recommend the novel
