assassins always got weird ass smiles...also it’s really funny how in some of these stories the priest is always the bad person (kind of devilish in a way) but their supposed to be holy and be god’s “servant” and be good and all that shit... he’s hot but he needs to die and go to hell instead...like this bitch is not gonna atone for his “sins”....(⌒▽⌒)
I mean throughout history churches were kind of always the bad guys. although it is weird they're against the monarchy, considering one of the main reasons tyrants were allowed to rule was because their bloodline was "chosen by god," or some bs. but yeah, historically, the church was... oh boy. i mean nevermind all the murdering and genocide (one king killed over 400 people in one day to spread christianity) and we all know the crusades but like,, the church actively killed people who were just vibing. scientists were all like "oh hey maybe the sun doesn't spin around the earth and we spin around the sun-" yeah they died. "oh hey maybe like having fun isn't that bad-" they died. "oh hey maybe jewish people aren't evil they just practice different eating habits that lets them live longer-" yeah them and all of the jewish died. fun fact, the church blamed the jewish for the black plague! because in the torah there are requirements to preparing food and drinking water, the jewish didn't catch the plague as easily as the christians who were drinking from the same container and eating less cooked meat. so they were burned at the stake for being devils.
yeah, basically, throughout western history, the church has been the bad guys. why do you think it's still around to such prevalence? yeah, kidnapping and murdering people. the church kidnapped an entire generation of native american children to "breed" with white people and convert them to christianity and to have "whiter" children. (i'm using christian as an umbrella term for christian and catholic, although i know the entire reason why america was founded was because one branch was being killed and they aren't synonymous blah blah blah you get the point). so basically, yes, it makes sense for the church and the religious people to be the bad guys in these fantasy stories based off of european history because they were the bad guys.
long rant i am so sorry but this is my field of study and i get really passionate about shit talking the church it's like,, what i go to school to study.

The church is a corrupt cult/organizations during Spanish invasion. They literally ask for offering just for them to pray.. Have expensive guides for devotees to pay for their daily prayer.. The priest are nasty that it got to the point that they rape women and have unclaimed children... Our national hero encapsulated the true face of the church in his works.. And the church knows how to use God as a shield for their actions and to convince convicts..

Well.. That is what I knew of.. Quite shallow only since the history books that existed in my younger years only highlighted small details of the church..
If you want to read the works of our national hero.. They are called Noli Me Tangere and El Filibusterismo.. Read noli 1st before el fili.. This is where I got my info about the church at Spanish Time... It has been said that he wrote the specific 2 books as a enlightenment to Filipinos at that period with the abuse of the church.. And in 1930s, I guess, many modern priest are against learning the 2 books of our national hero because it shows the bad side of the roman catholic church

And also, the church doesn't want to acknowledge sex education and family planning because it's a sin! Nevermind the fact that our population is too much for the government to handle! Overpopulation is one of the main causes of poverty but they don't acknowledge it!
