I’m on chapter 30

I can’t help it but If the main character yelled at her sister for showing her ankles, ladies require escorts, and this is clearly set in a kingdom where nobleman reside…

why aren’t any of these high society ladies wearing gloves? why is everyone so comfortable touching someone of the opposite sex? It’s destroying the whole “soul mate,” and high society vibe of the entire story for me.

I’m on chapter 8.

The story is very well done so far and it’s because of the sympathy seen from the female lead that you come to understand why the male lead deserves a chance at love

However, the art styling has a way of looking just a little bit ugly enough to make me irritated with the word “pretty,” as a description for this man.

The male lead looks like a villain but at the same time he doesn’t? It’s hard to explain. Maybe because of the blonde hair and blue eyes.

Anyway~ so far so great

It’s the big sister for me.
She’s so encouraging but also relatable as fudge; I’m an older siblings so it’s always nice to reliable family members in boys love mangas.

The best friend? He’s what I aspire to be. Each panel he’s in is comedic gold and his relationship with sensei was even better.

Can’t wait to read the sequel

So… in my opinion E [uke] should’ve talked to be their father at least once just to close the chapter on his abandonment issues.

I also wished that J [the dog] would become more self sufficient during the time he was away. In the two weeks he could’ve used the Gods connections to establish a job or at least a home of his own instead of just wandering around aimlessly.

Before the two of them returned to being lovers, lots of details could’ve been added to show that they learned to love themselves a bit more.

Also— I had no idea Polo was gonna transform but the fact that his hair looked like that unsettled me.

Not to mention the fact that J [the red head] just got sexually assaulted despite just understanding his own sexuality makes it all sad.

Am I the only one who thinks we missed out on some scenes? Like did they only upload a clean version thats been scanned into English? Because they clearly had sėx.

Time to find the official publication~

Right I was thinking how could there be no sex scenes if we all know they done it

nightmarezreal May 28, 2021 2:55 am

I could’ve sworn I read this before just by looking at the title but I was way wrong.

Now I’m on chapter three and I can’t tell if I enjoy it or if my inner sadist just wants a reason to stay up all night to finish one story. We’ll see

As all of my fellow readers below have said, the ending is lack luster at best. At the same time however, the ending is what it is and it’s not something you should focus too much on.

Think this way, would you have honestly continued reading after the main plot of a story ended? I certainly wouldn’t.

I enjoyed the missions and the team ups. It was interesting to see how each character would interact with the other. I also loved the romance and the drama. I enjoyed the journey and that’s whats the most important right?

Read it yourself and find out why despite the ending, it was worth the read.

I think the ending was done in the right direction. There was closure after all.

I suppose a lot of us here was "unsatisfied" with the story because it could have been more compelling. It felt like everything just fell in place for MC without her having really have to fight for it (other than her learning the sword, but even then that wasn't her idea). Heck, she was ready to give up on being the crown princess if not for Selena saving her ass last minute (and Selena is always saving her ass. Like, all the time).

I don't know. It was indeed a decent story and, all said and done, worth the read. But I can't deny that the story's flow kind of left the reader just... there. It wasn't frustrating to read, but it's frustrating now that it's over.

The story is nice but the author could’ve put in more work both with the female leads storyline and the entire plot of the last arc.

If we had seen Selvess at least once, when Eddy was a kid at the academy, or if he was even one of the bullies it would’ve been a nice surprise instead of ‘what? who cares about this random person?,’

Unrelated but the translations of the female leads name changed three times so I just dubbed her Flamingo in my head.

She wasn’t the most beautiful heroines yes but she could’ve done more. When eddy went missing what the hell did she prepare? How did she prepare? We see her read so much about magic but never used that knowledge.

We get chapters dedicate to the hero’s journey, but don’t get to even see the battle. We don’t even get a clue about anything until it’s time for it to disappear. Tragic.

nightmarezreal May 27, 2021 1:44 pm

Honestly this is a good read. Overarching the concept of beauty being more then just skin deep, I like the awkwardness of the relationship between the main characters. Though the translations are clearly not exactly what you’d expect it’s fun to read. You learn a lot about beauty standards in Korea, in some ways it’s heart breaking in others it’s relatable.

I just regret not getting a few more scenes with the parents and how their dating life continued.

The development was strangely way too long but also way too fast pace at the same time…

Fourteen chapter in and it felt like their feelings were forced. Like “oh, I’m gay, oh? You’re gay too?” Then again when I read the epilogue it started to make sense why it felt that way.

However— at a certain point the story felt drawn out. We never get the answers to their backgrounds and we never get an answer about their future.

We just get this. The story. This amazingly detailed art. Just a small glimpse of what they use to cover it [the weird relationship pacing] all up.
