FR I HATE WHEN AUTHORS ADD ROMANCE TO A GOOD STORY AND IT RUINS EVERYTHING and some just seems so forced its annoying
like i dont mind but most of the time it ruins the story and the mc suddenly becomes braindead and like the girl love interest is annoying blushing like a fucking idiot all the time too like girl get a grip

the stories almost always turn to shit after the MC falls in love & gets overly conscious about it. like logic & plotlines all fly out the nonexistent window or everyone's drowning in mush.
dont get me wrong like i love romance but if its a fantasy genre, nine of ten times it's better to not add love interests and most of the time it's just fanservice and they have no real chemistry.
I agree with y'all, this manhwa has so much potential plus the character development, why can't they focus on him or just some friendship story with guy friends

on a non-BL subject, the more i read the more i think romance & revenge are getting overused as plot keys for any genre. it feels like i can determine how interesting a story has the potential to be halfway through the 1st chapter for most stories now & it's kind of depressing at this stage. the really "good" stories feel like finding a needle in a haystack (for lack of a better metaphor)

I do know 1 good [non-BL] Fantasy Romance story (consistent characters, logic applies, low drama, high comedy, some action, no tragedy endings). It's called "Bring the Love," & it's a stupid name, but it works.
have you read "the Tax Reaper" it's a No-romance story so far. i thought it was kinda dumb at 1st cuz it compares confrontation to fantasy-type warfare, but i actually got sucked into the story & went through all 72 chapters today.
