It makes a big difference reading Grayson's pov, that doesn't mean he didn't pull some real shit is the past, but you start to understand why he is like that. That the way he sees things can be different from normal, but he is not evil as a real villain would be. He is a psychopath, but he abides certain rules and controles himself based on what he was taught. And we saw how strong and resistant he really is, that guy is actually a monster.:D
He is crazy, but really entertaining, there are things you would have never expected from him. Before I read his story I would have never expected to laugh so much because of him. And he has a great character development.
With him it's not retconned or anything, because the author wrote that this story was the first she came up with when she started wit omegaverse, so in the other stories he appeared in he was already planned like that.

And Dane, you saw how Dane is: he is a bright red flag when it comes to relationships.lol (which was actually known before DMIYC)
That guy is not normal, either. And his trauma is no joke, it's massive.
His interactions with Grayson are often really funny. Good for Grayson that Dane and his father Ashley are weak for a certain trait he inherited from his omega father Koi.^^

They are actually a very good match. I have difficulties seeing one of them with another partner after reading that story and getting to know their characters.
