Of course, there is going to be a problem with their relationship. Both of them have their own, (very severe i mind you), issues and flaws. Just because they got into a relationship doesn't make all the problems go away. It was only a matter of time before their issues surfaced. It's not that their relationship is becoming toxic; It wasn't a perfectly healthy relationship to begin with.
And I think it is nice to have these relationships portrayed. It is supposed to be about how their love makes them grow and be better and sometimes clouds their judgement more than “oh we love eachothwr and we are fixed” type of story. I’m tired of people just making characters escape their issues and traum through love and sex, while in real life that is not possible.
