As much as I am really loving this arc because of how Kusanagi-sensei is developing Yona absolutely independently (as she has done previously too) from Hak.... yes, I'd love to see him watching her right now. She's so powerful

Sometimes I feel like people just see her as someone bring protected by the dragons. But she can clearly stand her ground on her own! Hak would be sooo proud right now

Okay...so I've become genuinely concerned about bullying in Japan. Like bullying is a very serious problem in schools and workplaces all over the world but it appears very consistently in manga. Y'know I know that manga may not represent the situation accurately but...there's got to be some truth with how often it appears. Not only does it appear often, but the brutality is on a completely different level. Bullies can be brutal in other countries, however I don't believe it's as consistently terrifying as it appears to be in Japan. The way things are looking I wouldn't even consider raising a child in Japan, or countries with similar problems such as Australia. Feels like nobody really discusses this, even when other manga display more disgusting acts...

The bullying in japan is not really worse or more consistenly terrifying than other developed countries tho. Im USA born and have lived in Japan. Ive seen disgusting acts of bullying in both countries as well as in the UK and south Korea in person with south Korea being the absolute worse ive seen in Asia. You cant take everything in manga to heart because it is fiction and VERY often exaggerated. Bullying is human on human cruelty and you will find it everywhere. But one thing that is true as i've seen it is that for the japanese the way they react and raise their kids plays a strong part in their "bully" culture. Ive seen them not be emotionally available for their kids as a source of comfort, They DONT build their kids up emotionally and mentally to be strong, they dont tell their kids to hold their heads up high with pride but instead teach them to endure and suffer in silence. If you ingrain strength in your kids you will raise strong kids, but if you teach them passiveness you will raise weak kids. They dont turn into protective tigers for their kids either as often as they should, you WILL find some here and there but their reactions from what i saw ranged from mild to more so embarrassment because they didnt want people to know their child was bullied as if somehow thats more important than the welfare of their child. If you dont address bullying- other kids, parents, principles, teachers taking a firm hard stance againgst it, then the cycle continues. Kids should stand up for each other and themselves in the face of bullying and adults should have protecting kids who are bullied be a priority. Unfortunately adults dismiss bullying as not a big deal too often than not. Ive literally seen the japanese allow bullying in sports from coaches to athletes and parents turning a blind eye to it purposely because "it will make their kids do better". I found this to be unique because that is not widely excepted outside of asia. Then throw in age. If your older it magically gives you the power to treat people younger then you however you want. Of course everyone in Japan isnt like this but it is common. The world needs to do better when it comes to bullying, not enough people take it seriously even though the longstanding effects of it have been proven.

This is suchhhh a good response! Unfortunately, I haven't had the chance to see much media from other Asian countries outside of Japan so I don't really have anything to compare it to. It's terrible to see that there may be even worse situations outside of Japan though it isn't unexpected, as you said, this is a problem which consistently appears in all countries. It's upsetting to hear that parents think that ignoring what's happening to their children or others is making them stronger. It literally makes my heart shake in anger when thinking about it. I can't imagine thinking that bullying in any situation makes things better. Parents and other adults have an obligation to protect children even of high school age. It's sad to see that some people don't understand that. And the kids are the ones that end up with the real life long or life ending problems. Thanks for replying.

Okay so that bit Spinner said was really good (▰˘◡˘▰) I love them all and I hope Shiggy gives the most elated face to ever ever when they arrive on the scene. But I really don't understand what's going on between Toga and Urakaka...like I get it but I just don't see how it fits into the story? It kind of feels like filler tbh. Also! The absolute nerve that the hero's have to give a fifteen year old the power to arrest someone what the fuck??? Just shows how fucking ridiculous the system they have is.
