Manwha Ch. 29 already introduced Catherine and Edith to each other. In the novel, they met around episode 85 (still a lot of stories to cover before they actually meet) and Killian was with Edith to protect her from Catherine’s verbal attack. It was a ball where all noble families gathered including the Rudwicks, Sinclair and Rigolhoffs. And Instead of Cliff, it was Reeze who told Catherine about the poison incident. Killian argued with Reeze in front of everyone as to why she had to tell the poison story when she herself “wished” for the story to be buried and forgotten. In the end of the scene, Killian did a good job defending Edith and they went home to have some sexy time lol if u kno what i mean.

Furthermore, just to share a very specific scene. Catherine told in front of everyone this
“Ha! Killian Ludwig, you’ve changed so much. Is this woman that important? She’s a girl you’ll have to get rid of sooner or later anyway.”
Which angered very much our baby boy Killian. He embarrassed Catherine by proudly saying that HE IS WITH EDITH (my hearteu) then that’s where Reeze suddenly intervened. Killian wasn’t going to let it go and confronted Reeze and had Catherine apologize to Edith.
Meh. That was a really goooooood episode. I hope I can still see that in the Manwha. UwU

I was re-reading starting from Ch. 1 and was so glad that Kim Dan is no longer worrying about money nor getting hurt by thugs (except in the ass by JaeKyung hahaha). Then i realized why didn’t Kim Dan hear the moans, thwop thwop, ahh agh ugh of the hoe during phone call with Jae Kyung.. waaaaahhhhh i’m so excited for the story. Fast forward, i like HeeSung, the trouble maker hihihi more progress plsssssss (づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ

I’m happy about the story and I think the title really describes their relationship. If it wasn’t for them getting bonded, Hye Sung wouldn’t really want to have anything to do with Do Jin. I guess overtime, Hye Sung learned to like then love Do Jin to some degree but it was never a selfless love. The relationship feels more like a “need for survival” unlike the Beta/Omega and Beta/Alpha couples. So yeah, i think the title of the manwha perfectly sums up their relationship. UwU
Riftan is what everybody says (i agree with them). Dismissive and overprotective. He’s not letting Maxi grow out of her comfort zone thinking she’s too weak. He’s keeping her stagnant. Then Maxi… i get that she came from a family that doesn’t value her in general her whole life before coming to Anatol. She came to Anatol being judged by other knights and i cant remember maybe some servants? But i don’t recall that. Anyway, it’s been a while now for her. She keeps going to this negative headspace, sulks, then convinces herself that she can do stuff but doesn’t push through with it. She’s also not being honest to others about her weakness, even to Riftan. Pretending to be this noble girl who experience all noble stuff when she didn’t. I know that she’s really trying but it’s not enough if she wants change. She can’t sulk and cry to herself all the time when things don’t go her way. I am still really hoping she’ll be someone who is honest, self-aware and self-sufficient. The current Maxi and Riftan are just too toxic for me. I hope thew grow out from it. If i’m an asshole for thinking this, then it’s okay. Truth hurts.
That's the same way I felt with Maxi at first however if you put yourself in her shoes and think of the times this was occurring, the answer might not be soo easy. It's not like she can just say to people she is not 100%sure to know about all her defaults. At around those time man we're not Fidel and could take mistresses without shame. Imagine she think Riftan likes her just because he is performing his husband's duties (for now) what would happen if in reality he liked the idea of a weak sheltered noble lady to start with? Maxi's coming out would ruin his views and may be even take away his interest in her. Just who knows? No one know if it is in reality, human male can be very unpredictable.
Also he might be treating her that way because he believes she has been treated the same while she was at her father's house, what if it was the opposite? In reality some people would get either negligent or abusive once they learn that there is no one backing you up and no one to stand by you and defend you.
I know riftan ain't that type of man, I have read book 1 and his pov. However, I believe it's always easy to tell others to communicate and express their feelings both positive and negative, but I can be hard when it comes to oneself. Human interaction is hard... and truth be said both are frustrating lol.
Yeah, i get what u mean. :) i thought of those and in the end, personally, I just can’t accept the current Maxi from the manwha. And Riftan too. So I really hope she becomes self-sufficient, not fearing that Riftan’s personal preferences for women or being honest about what she is. I really think that the first step in solving a problem is recognizing that there is one. Thanks for sharing your thoughts :)
Too many typos. Sorry!
A spoiler not a spoiler....
You will be shock to learn how Maxi will become in the future haha. She will have riftan ran for his money and be very assertive and stubborn in her decision haha
That’s good to know. If she’s become assertive enough, then she believes in herself becoming self-sufficient in a lot of things (๑•ㅂ•)و✧ btw, can u tell me where you’ve read the novel?
Yep too assertive for riftan to handle haha
Sure
