1. If swan has foresight and knows she’s not the real daughter, why lie to Lilian and say she is?
2. This isn’t how genetics work. Why does Lilian look nothing like the parents? I get swans appearance changed, but did Lilian’s change too?
3. Does Lilian ever find out she’s the real daughter, and if so, when? Same for dad

1. I don't think she knows, it's not really mention in the novel, but I think she's really did think that she's noble. She has a bit foresight, she didn't have the full story how the future goes, so maybe she's only saw a bit after she dies.
2. Lilian's appearance is more from her father's side. The butler mention how she looks similar to her father when he's a child. And her hair is going to be blonde later on, I forgot from which family, but there's that. This is where I felt frustrated, because the head maid can see and fully believe that she's the real deal, but the father is so blinded by his wife appearance that he didn't see that Lilian is similar to him.
3. It get out in the end, but even Lilian is still didn't believe it. Because it's not DNA test quality fact. Just a circumstance fact, the first 'moon child/saint' (I forgot what they called in this novel) can sense that whenever another one of them is born or die because the power is divided between them.
They said the power is hereditary, and the first 'moon child/saint' is still on earth for a mission, but it doesn't mention about Lilian's grandmother. So, I don't really know. It's kinda open ending on that.
Oh, her father already felt that she's his child after the fake child incident because he get ripped apart by the head maid.
And I think, the fact that Lilian never really believe it, it's the punishment for him.

Even if the parents have black hair and blonde hair theirs still a possibility the child will have brown hair it’s not impossible you can google it and she has the same eye color as the duke
this IS how genetics work. we don't know what any of her grandparents look like. green eyes are rare and especially within people who have black hair. if they had a more brown hazel eyes with genetic info to be green, their eyes WILL mature green. this is evident with the duke and the MC having such eyes that turns greener with age. also, hair color isn't one coding, it's a spectrum of genes that causes variations of melanin production. hair isn't "blonde" or "brown" or "black". it's the genetic ability to produce melanin within certain ranges. having a blonde parent and a black haired parent CAN cause you to have an in between color. this is without grandparents in the picture. they could have brown hair or ginger hair, and it wouldn't necessarily show up on your child but can show up on your grandchild. finally, her hair will turn dark. even if nobody in the family has brown hair, you could have a totally normal condition where your hair doesn't match anyone in the family's hair, and it would develop more melanin later on in life. also, a lot of blonde parents can produce light-mid brown hair children and their infants can start out blonde. we don't have the full picture so sybaul

He likes her…she’s obviously afraid of the Queen and political strife… why doesn’t he just wait until he kills everybody and is king to go after her romantically? She’d obviously be more open to it (and even coercion/force because hes Crazy) if he’s the only threat to her family.
Maybe he also needs her family’s allegiance so that his political position is guaranteed? Since they have a lot of influence and the powers of the sword/shield artifacts. If he has her by his side before taking power it might make him an even better candidate for the Crown Prince in the eyes of the emperor. ╮(￣▽￣)╭

Not even “hey can I send them a letter?” Even if they say no, why isn’t she trying to communicate with them when she knows they’ll be worried and think she’s in danger?? Make it make sense…she’s so family oriented so why is she being so one track minded with this oasis issue. Like, I get she was eventually going to end up there because it’s her character to help, but why is that her main priority? Like, girl…you could even have Elsie send a message but you’re staying silent??
