I got pretty far along on this when it was available on BL Pink and there was very light stuff in flashbacks. I think the mature rating is due to the nature of the story not the smut. But the story itself holds up and seems worth it.
It isn't finished though so maybe towards the end.
I went looking for smut and ended up staying and being intrigued by the story.
Ancient royal siblings do really marry each other. Idk why maybe to preserve their bloodline.
Yes. Usually there were marriages between siblings/cousins in those times and in many countries to keep the pure "royal blood" and so it doesn't mixes..... But it doesn't change the fact that mutations took place
