In a sense, he was looking out for her with that. As a high ranking doctor in the hospital, to be seen being too friendly with someone on the bottom of the totem pole would definitely start gossip and could make working very uncomfortable for her, especially considering that she's not bold, but a fairly quiet person.
All I see is another Rashta 2.0 Just a trashy character that can't be satisfied with what they get.

I found some spoilers after searching it up on the web. It's kind of iffy on the details, but here's the rundown of it:
Sophie regains her memory, then confronts the Grand Duke about Nera being his daughter. Then we go back to Iris and Ian, where they have their wedding (yay). Nera is overcome by jealousy and wants to kill Iris because of it, so Nera puts everyone to sleep and then enters Iris's room to do the deed. Grand Duke enters, saves the day, but Iris is unconscious. They have the doctor check on Iris. Danny asks Ian if he told either GDuke or Iris about the results of the gene test, but Ian said he didn't and only did it for his satisfaction. (The spoiler detail was a bit fibby, so I don't know if my interpretation of the gene test was accurate.)
Then we have the Grand Duke discovering Iris is his daughter after seeing the necklace, which was the very necklace he gave to Iris's mother. He knew then that Iris was his and felt remorse that he could not do much for Iris because she had already worked for it herself. [APPARENTLY, in other spoilers that I have yet to sort through, Grand Duke wants to keep Iris as his daughter a secret.]
As for Nera, well, she fled to the Grand Duchess. She was in (FAKE) tears, and the Grand Duchess had to console her. Someone gave someone pills. (I'm assuming the Grand Duchess fave Nera pills for Nera to rest, but that doesn't really make sense. Reason why I don't know who gave who the pills is because the spoiler only said "gave her pills and told her to rest".) Grand Duchess became dizzy. The maids are sus because ever since Nera was in the picture, the Grand Duchess's health has been slowly deteriorating.
That's all I got for spoilers. Hopefully, I interpreted the post for it correctly.
And, yeah, there's going to be more drama with Nera before I got big mad at spoilers and quit before I went through everything.

i heard nera and the marchioness fish lips girl work together to kidnap iris or something but i'm not sure
lol, there's a lot of drama and Nera was still on scene for many more to come. I kind of just got really mad to the point I had to stop going through the spoilers. I can't say the website because the actual authors were apparently on the hunt to take down any free versions of their novel.
You can search up the name of the manga online with spoilers tagged on, and you should find the forum that I got the info from.
As far as I know, Nera did not go to prison. She may have been punished (?) but there wasn't a large expansion on that in the forums. (Most of the people there just complained about the plot hole). Just know that Nera is going to stay for a while.
If there is a novel about this, can someone spoil it n say how it ends so I can move on. I'm honestly nearly done with this. I just wanna know if this jerk will ever apologise for all he did n said so they can have a HEA!!
