This has to be the only BL where the main character was held accountable properly.

Whereas other BL w/ full of rapist, red flag semes are walking freely after commiting a criminal act and even got their happy endings (looking at you BL manhwas) isusbbensnsn

It was written to leave a mark on the reader and the mangaka delivered. It is sad, yeah but the mangaka's decision to let him die is not bad imo. They probably felt guilty xkskns.
If you also think about it, the mother's anger probable root cause is how he got out of jail, given Japan is notorious on carrying executions annually.
My worry is how will Akitaka live after this, he's most likely to kill himself omg. Just plain plain sadness.

Despite being generic overall. There are only few BL Webtoons that delivers satisfying endings with antagonists and I'm very glad since the title did NOT disappoint.
Must be the only BL from Korea where you can see the creator has passion for arts.

But the plot is unclear. like why is it turning into action/spy shit suddenly.
Something about how the story develop makes me uncomfortable for a reason. I cannot exactly say it's lacking but I'm still looking for something. The characters and settings are just so perfect for some instense love triangles or something.
The synopsis, characters, art & formatting are great though.
It's a story of failure that blooms a wonderful ending.
Another work that proves nothing can top a Shounen-Ai when it's paired with Horror. Japanese Story Telling is truly something else.
Yall may think Hayato's decision was infuriating, because it is. That's the reality. Modern Japan is still considered homophobic and conservative. Now think how it is for gay couples centuries ago (considering they're all from prominent clans) I actually applaud they even manage to squeeze that topic on to the story.
