Haha I actually like this.......
I'm immune to drama now because I expect the worst.
But Nocton and Valrose both had their reasons, can't blame one or the other for everything. It's not just black or white, where its either their good or bad people. Everyone has good and bad aspects and it just depends which side comes out more in the situation. Plus it comes down to perspective as well. Basically, I'm saying it's to early to hate on a character/background story because it's still the beginning and we don't know enough about the characters yet.
I personally would really like it if all the mls have a redemption arc. Not necessarily to forgive them but to see them actually listen and grow to be better people. It's satisfying to see good character development.
I like the moral that it may be hard to change people but it's possible over time.
Also the prince is obviously shit (that's been a fact since chapter 1) but the fact that he is trying to change isn't a bad thing (it's the only good thing he has done so far). I like that the author is putting these scenes in.
Honestly, this is fake, I read messed up shit without even batting an eye. This is nothing compared to what I can read. If this makes you feel uncomfortable, that's okay, just don't read it.
I haven’t even read this yet and this whole comment section is annoying the hell out of me. I am actually intrigued by this because this is what I loved to read when I was 15-18 especially with a cold female lead. I’m the one who was in love with age gap stories because of how mature the men were compare to our age in the manga. More than often, they don’t even look like the age they are drawn so it’s hard for the mind to link them to being an adult. But did it make me fall in love with older men? No. Did I want to fall in love with older men? No. I do think comment section should be removed as there seems to be lots of morale police here. High school girls in Japan are usually 16-18. So it’s like saying you’re a child now this year that you’re 17 but next year you are an adult so I can do stuff / sexualize you in anyway? That’s what is wrong. If you can’t view a manga as simply a story, that’s what is wrong. I really feel so sad that each author has to be attacked like this when they just wanted to create a story. Come on, if every story is the same, stick to morales or stuff like that then what’s the point of the author creating stories? Every manga we read will be the same. Saying things like normalising stuff like this is wrong is like saying people are violent because of playing video games. And it’s super annoying people are bringing all the life issues into manga when most people here can’t even fall in love with any 3d men out there that’s why we get ourselves lost here and to see all various type of hot men that we will never find out there.
If you can't think or agree that literature and all art forms have a great impact on people then you are still a kid. You are not going to be mentally an full fledged adult when you are 17 or 19. I'm 20 and I can't imagine how much mature a 27 year old it. Being a minor makes you more vulnerable to being manipulated and being groomed. That is why laws are made. That's why we should protect kids. Read my dark venessa. It's just weird that you all would defend predatory behaviour.
Also I'm not going to read this book
Also about your last sentence. There are books(or hentai) which was be all about rape. It is filled in hentai. So does it make okay, to have consensual sex,, to rape people. But People viewing those work will have some impact by seeing that stuff. It is easy to laugh it off bc it's is a manga. Saying it's not that deep. but some might actually think it is okay to do stuff like that. What about kids who read stuff like this and make themselves vulnerable to being groomed
That's true but it's a fact that if you know it's not okay in real life, you are less likely to be manipulated. As long as people realize in real life it's not cute, then I think were good. Most people here just read this story and move on, they don't actually want an adult to chase after them in real life.
Plus I feel like if you read a story that makes rape (or any crime/disturbing thing) seem okay and you want it to happen in real life, then the person should check up his/her morals before reading these things. I have read plenty of stories about toxic relationships and enjoy the story but would hate it if it was in real life. I think it's really up to the person whether they let themselves be manipulated by these stories or not. And it's not that deep if you can read it just as a manga and not connect it back to real life.

I'm here for the drama. I have prepared myself.
as have I
