the only chapter that brought me evil satisfaction. Don't pity someone who is manipulative. At least Qingqing was able to figure it out. Soak and die in the rain you sadboy.
*clears throat* EHUUUUMMMMM
CHAPTER11- 30/73 Curtis kidnaps quinquin after she no CHAPTER 13- 3/57 Curtis admits he will treat her nicely(not hurt her) if she just behaves CHAPTER 27 - 79/84 Curtis LITTERALY FORCED HER TO BE HER SPOUSE BY BITTING HER... Muir on the other hand did everything he could to save her and bring her back to park so I believe he deserves a second chance
That's not manipulation. And the whole kidnapping her was his species nature. And he told her not to run away for her own safety. But aside from taking her from Parker, he was only ever kind and courteous to her, and thought only of her.
Muir was deceiving and manipulating her. He lied to her numerous times, orchestrated situations to work in his favor, attempted to murder her husband and then lied straight to her face about it, tried to coerce/guilt-trip her into accepting him as her mate by saying that she owed him for saving her life (when he was actually the one who endangered her in order to get her away from Curtis), and kept Parker away from her while she was giving birth to his cubs. And she's not the only one he manipulated, he manipulated many people, including Curtis, Parker, the peacock clan and the crow clan, and tricked them into trying to kill each other.
Dude... Curtis kidnapped her and forced her to be his mate. including marking her without asking. Winston saved her and like a typical guy, told her that they are now mates... and kept begging and winge for her to mate. Them you would think Winston was the only one cool but he is the only one that feels bad for forcing her... so that is ruined... and CHANGING her mind, does not make being forced, ok! And no... Miur is bad even though compared to the others, he has not been as bad as... dragging her thru a pond into a cave.... or saving her and then telling her she has to be his mate... or having her forced when drugged. Yup....he is the worst. Argh... the hypocrisy is so delicious though.
I'm not going to say that Curtis wasn't in the wrong, but from his species point of view, she DID accept him. She accepted his skin, that was his species' way of courtship, and when they were running from the dinos, she said that she WANTED him to court her. THAT was her verbally accepting him along with her initial unintentional acceptance of taking his skin. He still shouldn't have marked her without her permission, this is true, but really that bond was purely symbolic up until sh SHE said that she wanted to be with him and have children with him. If anything, he was bonding himself to her. Again, he shouldn't have done it without permission, but it was the only way he would get to be with her at all. Parker wasn't allowing it, and none of the other beastmen would have even allowed him near her or the village had she not had his mark simply because he was a feral. She even had to ask why no one attacked him when he showed up, and was told it was because she had his mark. But again, that was really only symbolic until she chose him. Even prior to his marking her, he wasn't doing anything with her or to her. he was trying to win her love. When he suggested mating and she said no, he was fine with it. When she said she didn't want to have children, he said fine. Ferals are a solitary breed, his taking her was essentially their way of courtship. Him marking her was his way of still being able to be with her after Parker took her back, and it was only symbolic until she chose him.
This is very different from Parker and Muir. Parker was drawn to her beauty and declared himself to be her mate even when she made it very clear numerous times that she didn't want him, and proceeded to sexually assault her, forced her to make herself "ugly" so no one else would be interested in her, coerced, guilt-tripped, pushed, and borderline blackmailed her into being his mate, at one point even saying that he was straight up going to rape her to pregnancy whether she wanted it or not and that he would then deal with the consequences afterwards. Muir constantly deceived, lied to, and manipulated her and her feelings, kept her away from her mates, prevented her mates from being around while she was giving birth, tried to coerce her into taking him as her mate, and tried to murder her other mates.
Winston, I'll give it to you, is a good guy, but he still rapes her later. Yes, it's because of an aphrodisiac that gets him high, but he still does it. There's no excuse for if someone gets drunk or does drugs and rapes someone, because despite their impaired judgment, they're still the one who makes the decision and does the deed. Impaired judgment aside, you're still in control of your actions.
So really, who is the best one for her who loves her the most and is the most considerate and kind to her? Curtis. I'm not saying he's a saint, he's pretty flawed, but still in comparison to the others. And a lot of his flaws are due to his species and his nature, most of which he goes against for her sake and her happiness. Winston, I'll admit, is a rival for best husband material, but Parker and Muir are at the bottom of the sh*t barrel.

indeed. "Riding" amon is cooler :))
