I believe that you can enjoy a story that has rape and sensitive issues in it, the question is how is being portrayed and how that affects the story. If the author just places that just because and later on there's not repercussions with the rapist and walks past the issue because now the couple is happy, is normalizing. Also most yaoi manhwas happen in a "normal" setting like high schools and with teenagers, and although you may be aware that it's just fiction, there are also younger readers that by seeing SO MANY mangas with rape normalized can start to think that's alright when it's absolutely not.

Minors should be minors and not read this kind of stuff. Everyone who is a grownup should be able to differentiate between right or wrong. Real life is real life and reading a book/manga or whatever it is, is just reading. I understand your opinion and somewhat agree with you but also this is the author's style and honestly i'm okay with it. If all the authors write only what the fans are saying it wouldn't be their work. I'm just enjoying different kind of mangas and don't make prejudice before hand, I'm always reading open mindedly and in my opinion people should also try that and read the mangas as whole. I'm so excited for the revenge part now and I'm also waiting for that character development so yeah...

Why can't you just try to understand that it's not up to you to decide what an author should write about, or how they handle any subject matter? You simply cannot apply your rules and morality to art. If you were in the correct venue, like speaking to the PTA, your opinion might be valid, but when it's art you don't get a say. I keep hoping that some of you will start to understand the difference.

Once again you're applying your idea of what's acceptable to me. Not everyone has the same style. The rules of acceptability among readers here keeps getting more and more narrow. Why don't you try to accept my style? You want your idea of nice to be the rule for everyone. The style of communication you were raised with dictates that everyone has to be nice and try to like each other, well not everyone is going to like you. I'm not liking you a whole lot right now.
Say something funny and I might start, but as of now I disagree with almost everything you've said. Why do I have to be nice about it?

I get to say if it's bad for me or not because it's my opinion, but whether it normalizes or not it's not an opinion, but a fact since you can see it written/drawn. And I don't see why you want to be hostile so much with others in your comments, since the only benefit you get from doing so is to bring people down, or get mad at you or disagree even more with you. You do you, but it kinda saddens me seeing so many rude comments around here.

"Should be" and I agree with you, but nowadays there's almost to no control of what minors see in the internet, tiktoks, etc. You can't expect there won't any be minors reading these. And as I said, people can enjoy stories like this! You're aware of it, but you're okay, and that's fine. I'm also wondering about the revenge plan and how it'll turn out haha

I'm rude to people when they say stuff like "whether it normalizes or not it's not an opinion, but a fact" This is utter bullshit, and if you don't know it, you should. The only people who might think rape is normal are kids who don't belong here anyway. Even so, if they're old enough to click their way in here yet still don't know right from wrong, they are too dumb to live, so are their irresponsible parents. Rude enough for you?

that "It's my opinion" stuff is getting old. Can't you and your friends think of a better, more original defense for your illogical, unjust views?
For the record I'm being like this because of your "normalize" remark, and that stale old "it's my opinion" and "it's bad for kids so adults should not be able to read what they like"

Excuse me, but I never said people can't read whatever they want, in fact I said everyone can enjoy any kind of story. The only point I'm making is WHAT normalizes a serious issue or not, but the decision to keep reading or not is up the reader. And while <<I>> think it's a little problematic that most stories with this things happens in high school settings, I'm not prohibiting anyone (as if I ever could do so to begin with) And yes, it's my opinion if I like something or not, this is not trying to be unique nor defend like??

High school is a good literary construct. It places all of the characters in one place so connections and interactions are quickly made. the plot charges forward. The reader stays interested. I believe that's why authors use it. No, I know That's why authors use it It's really not that much to do with kids. It's more about construction
